Description
UPDATE: I relocated the Filament-Sensor.. photo. Easy to do. There are two threaded holes for it on the top. Re-routed the wire as shown.
UPDATE: In some circumstances, the Post may 'Chatter' (bang back and forth when machine is vibrating from the type of small movements that cause it).
Use the Post-Support - put a 4mm Screw or other (Nail...etc) into the hole such that it extends into the Oblong Hole in the machine's frame. You can 'Self-Tap' the threads in the hole by Screwing the screw into it or, use a 3mm Screw.
I bought a Flashforge Adventurer 5M
Very pleased with it's Build-Quality, Performance and Ease-of-use. However, there are 'Two' aspects that should have resulted in the Program Manager being Fired! (most likely Not the Engineer's fault and I would Not consider it 'Build Quality' issue as both the design and all-else are good so, I'll assume some Program Mgr opted to save pennies and forsake User Happiness)
The worst is they put the Power-Switch on the Bottom in the Back, sandwiched between the Power-Cord and the Ethernet Cord. It's bad enough being on the Bottom/Back but also having to feel around for it... Well, I'm not happy about it.
The Filament Spool-Holder is a Flimsy-Joke and is on the Back. It sticks out 4-inches and putting a 4-inch-Width Spool on it requires the Printer to be at least 8-inches from the Wall.
I'll use an Power-Cord with a Switch.
I made some Spool-Holders and replaced the 'Joke' with a piece of Wood and 3D-Printed Holder...
Wood: 1/4" x 3" wide (actual 2.5") from HomeDepot
• Screw: Go to Hardware Store with the screws from Printer grab longer ones with same Metric-thread
• Spool-Holder: Two are posted. Single-Spool can be rotated to hang Spool on Front/Back and there's a Holder with two hanger's (front and back).
Both are easy to use...
