Description
This is an upgrade to the air supply for my face shield project. (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4761653) This now has a screw-on filter holder and uses standard Honeywell 7506N95 round filters. The battery is now a rechargeable lithium ion battery. The battery can be removed and replaced without unscrewing the cover or just charged while remaining in the case. The N95 filter is larger than my earlier design and has increased air flow due to it's greater surface area. N99 filters do fit this, however the increased filtering greatly reduces the air flow. This uses an AV-7525M12S brushless DC fan that was still available at the time of this posting. The fan is a very close fit, and all I do to secure it is a couple dabs of hot glue (see pic). The battery is a ZOHD Lionpack 3sip-18650 3500 MAH with a XT60 connector. You will need and additional XT60 female connector and an on/off switch (for a 1/4" hole) to wire everything up (see pic). All the fasteners are size 4-40. You will need some flat head and some round. I printed the filter retainer, belt-hook, and top cover all in fine resolution and the belt-hook was printed at 100% infill. The box was printed at med resolution at 40% infill. Don't use supports for the threads. All parts were PETG. The unit still hooks over a belt. I'll post a assembly video ASAP
