Description
A remixed version of the Footings.stl part for the Neath Signal Box by Badgerbreath.
Badgerbreath's Neath Signal Box is a great little model. I'm not familiar with the prototype, but some quick online searches suggest that the foundation is brick, so I created a new foundation with brick detail on the main walls. I really like the look of the printed brick texture, and drybrushing creates a nice effect.
Bricks are on the four main walls of the foundation. The extension is plain as its front and side get covered with other printed parts from the original design. The rear of the extension is open as in the original design. The original design has a slot on the long wall between the main foundation and the extension; this slot gets covered up by other parts, so I omitted it from the remix.
The sample shown here and that used in my model is printed at 0.1mm layers with a 0.2mm extruder. This brick texture also prints well at 0.1mm or 0.2mm layers with a 0.4mm extruder. Print with the solid floor down towards the print bed.
