Description
This is a thing to wind mechanical watches using a NEMA 17 stepper motor. The trays require a specific size of watch "pillow". Mine are from amazon and were the 2.8x1.7x1.4 size. Print a single tray first to make sure they fit snugly or the watch will fall out! You can make minor adjustments to the fit by adjusting the scale in your slicer.
NOTE! I do not orient the STL files for printing, this is how they come off the model. The only parts which require supports are the winder plate and mech frame. See the photo of them in my slicer.
Other parts you will need:
M8x60 bolt (1)
M8 washers (2). See cross section for locations.
M8 lock nut (1)
M5x16 button-head screws for sides (4)
608 bearing (2)
Number-6 x 3/8 inch flathead screws (2 per tray)
NEMA 17 x 20 mm motor
M3x8 button-head screws for motor mount (4)
16-tooth 2GT pulley with 5mm bore
60-tooth 2GT pulley with 8 mm bore
188 tooth 2GT belt
Pulleys and belt must be the exact sizes or the system won't fit. The belt fit is snug and may need to be fit to the pulleys before the pulleys are installed.
You will need to provide your own electronics for driving the NEMA 17 motor! This posting is for the mechanical design only.
The center cap is purely for decoration.
