Sky Mech MK 2

UPDATE 2/6/25: Thanks to user Retonductor, a flaw in my mech's hip design was brought to my attention. I believe to have fixed it.

This is a long overdue update to my previous Sky Mech design (nearly 4 years ago, geez!). Being only the 2nd ever mech I designed the original model utilized some parts from the original Buster Mech, here I have rectified this to give this design more of its own individual character. The unique parts of this mech have also been updated with my newer joint system as well as new armor. I have also updated the backpack to give the wings more posing options.

The Sky Mech MK 2was designed with a focus on simplicity, durability, and ease of printing.

Joints are achieved through a system of 3mm pins that give just enough friction while also easily removed with pliers (for maximum strength, print these so that the long side of the pin is parallel to the build plate).

3 millimeter ports on the arms and back allow for cross compatibility with most other model kit accessories.

Depending on your printer and plastic, some light sanding and/or tightening of parts may be required. Tightening may be done via thin layers of super glue or multi-surface floor polish.
