Description
I wanted a simple drive bay adapter for 2.5" SSDs for OG Xboxes, but none that I found were doing it for me. So I made a clip fit truly zero tool tray that accommodates most SATA to PATA adapters. No screws at all.
To install, simply place the single long pin into the bottom-most HDD mounting hole, then align and snap the other side into place. It should slip over the bottom indents and the pins should lock into the drive screw holes. Next, align the two drive posts on the inner SSD wall with the left two screw holes in the side of the SSD (assuming SSD label is facing you and the SSD connector is toward the top), then press down on the lower-right corner of the SSD to snap into place. Fit the PATA to SATA adapter and you're good to go!
I've added a V2 with a longer PATA adapter rail and a punchout for the SATA side. It should be more stable if you find your adapter coming loose.
