Mega Turbo Fan - Dual Motor 5 Inch props

Here is my DIY 5" Turbo Fan Blower that is mainly used to dry my cars off after a wash.

I had a bunch of old brushless RC motors lying around from various drone and flying wing projects. This can easily be adapted to any motors you may have lying around. The design is based off the standard 5 inch quad rotor props, 2205/2300kv and up motors, standard Bolt pattern 19mm diameter using M3 bolts. My motor control configuration with the ESP32C6 board, will monitor battery voltage, and current draw from each ESC/Motor, and allow the user to set the motor speed with the rotary encoder. The micro controller will auto shut off the motors if the battery voltage gets too low to also protect the lipo battery.

Notes:

There are two different attachment nozzles that I have included that I am still testing their performance and may add more in the future.

Depending on the electronics used, I have included a simple top cover to use a potentiometer for motor control, if you decide not to use my motor control setup.

I mounted the ESC's on the vertical bars on the Inner Mount V2.1 to keep them in the airflow for better cooling. and routed the wires down thru the center hole in the Turbo_Fan-5in housing.

• I have added a new rear cover that is less restricted and also produces less noise than the first design. In addition, removing the tapered output nozzle, the back pressure that this nozzle created was creating unnecessary heat from the motors.

** I am in the process of creating a single motor Turbo Fan. This will use a much smaller battery pack similar to what racing drones carry, 1500mah 4s or 6s if your setup allows. This should still give plenty of power to blow water around, as I think this dual motor is going to be too strong. Nozzle design may play a bigger part with the single motor design. More to come.
