Description
Use this to prevent damage to your Creality K2 Plus extruder's bowden connector, which may fail if the PTFE tube becomes loose from the cable chain and starts wobbling tearing itself out, damaging the connector teeth.
Note: If you already have a broken extruder connector, you need other solutions (like https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6926421 or https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6929098) or replacement part 4001020081 K2 Plus Extruder Front Cover. This model is to prevent the damage, use it with a new machine or after you replaced the broken part. No need to modify anything on the printer, it's just an add-on.
How this works is by removing the strain of the tube at the root of the connector, by keeping it straight right above it. It was designed so the original cover of the extruder head remains in place, moreover, it relies on the cover itself to keep the tube in the correct position. It's just that the PTFE tube starts bending during movement not at the connector, but above this part.
Do not glue this to the cover nor the chain fixer! It needs to freely move up and down on the tube when the extruder cover is removed, as it remains on the tube. All you have to do is, when you put the cover on, make sure it attaches properly by slipping in place with this part, as shown in the photo. Of course, with this add-on, you need to always use the cover from now on, as it's supposed by the factory.
