Description
This is a simple jig/tool to set up the camber, toe-in, and caster angles for 1/10 scale RC drift cars. It can be used for the front or rear axle, or both together.
Assembly and Use:
You just need several 3mm screws of various lengths to assemble it and to fasten it to the axle.
The caster pointer is designed for my Sakura D5 steering hub, which has a screw hole that is aligned with the axis. If you don't have this, you just have to use a stick to approximate the angle against the scale.
The Toe-in scale is double sided and you basically align it up on the side that you wish to measure, while slotting the other end with the other peg. To measure the other side, you just flip the scale over and do the same thing.
To get the best measurement for the camber, you basically place the car down with the camber scales as level as you can make it. I usually just kinda jiggle is side to side until I feel what appears to be the best center position.
Update 3/22/2025:
I updated this with profiles to be able to use 5mm OD bearings, with 2mm ID, so you can add bearings to the scale. The bearings I used were 682ZZ Deep Groove Ball Bearings, but you can use any bearings that are the same size. The bearings should allow the camber scale to self level better.
