Summary

The original suction cup covers are made of hard plastic. Ideal for storage and protection, but difficult to remove and scratch the vehicle's paintwork.
I install these TPU protectors just before fixing the bike to the rack on the ground, and mount it on the roof. Then I remove my TPU-printed protectors and attach the suction cups.
