Description
A solid, adjustable wall mount for an Apple iPad Pro 12.9".
Adjust the viewing distance and the horizontal angle.
Charging port is accessible
Camera is covered (for privacy but can be used without camera cover)
Solid construction tested for prolonged usage
I typically use my iPad as a 3rd monitor when using my computer and i wanted to be able to mount it out of the way and not take any desk space, it is now head height and allows me to keep an eye on my stocks whilst working. Its increased my productivity and reduced neck ache haha.
I printed my mount in PLA+ and it has stood the test of time so far (1 year), please print in a material that you deem appropriate.
The main arm is possibly over engineered however i did not want any possibility of failure as this arm is supporting a large amount of the overall load.
Additional info:
✨Designed to require no supports.✨
You may need to drill out the holes for the M12 threaded rod, depending how tight you want the fit to be. The adjustment tightness can be adjusted by releasing or tightening the steel nut on the threaded rod.
Padding/ scratch prevention:
I used pads for table/ chair legs on the main face that will support the back of the iPad (see photo) and these allow the iPad to slide in and out with no risk of scratching, they are 20mm diameter and roughly 2.15mm thick, you will need to use something of a similar thickness or the iPad will not fit snug. (you could change the stl files for a tighter fit if required).
The mount also uses small foam pads on each of the holders that hold the sides of the iPad which provide a smooth surface for the iPad to slide along and sit against. These can be any length to fit within the holders but they are roughly 5mm thick and they must go on all holder faces.
