Duo Plant Tag

The Duo Plant Tag is designed to be used in two ways; it can be staked into the soil or hung using the included hangers or string. I made this design primarily for tagging tomato plants that I grow from seed. I stake the plant label into the soil of the seed starting tray when planting the seeds and when I transplant the plant into the garden, I take the tag out of the tray and hang it on the tomato cage for easy identification. The tag is sized to use standard 12mm self-adhesive labels that are commonly used by home label machines. The labels have a narrow spike to minimize the soil disturbance when inserting/removing them from plant containers. The design also includes a small clip and a large clip for hanging the plant tag. Printing: I printed this tool on a Creality Ender-3 V3 KE using generic PLA filament and the default 0.20mm Standard settings in Creality Print 6.0. No supports are necessary.
