Description
Reusing supplement tubs as hardshell, front bicycle panniers, this bracket system steady's the tubs in the mounting channel of Blackburn Anything Cage front cargo racks for bicycles.
The brackets can be printed with the inside flanges or you can simply use washers for the same job, and skip straight to printing the top and bottom brackets, one for each side. The top bracket is a lower grip height than the bottom bracket as the Anything cages have a slight back-tilt towards the top. The brackets can be fastened with 15mm M6 bolts and appropriate nuts and washers, except the bottom bracket, which needs a 20mm in the middle position. Ad 5mm to the bolt lengths if using the inside flange.
I printed these in Sun Lu PLA-CF, as they're a stabilising bracket, not a structural one. I'd normally use FormFutura CarbonFil PETG-CF for structural parts, but used the PLA-CF for this job for the sort of matching look compared to other parts on my bike, like my gps mount. (Can't remember whose Thing page I sourced the latter from.)
There will be a few mor bicycle touring brackets and things coming soon as I'm moving from an upright bike to a recumbent trike next week, and I'll need to adapt a few of my bits of kit to suit the soon to arrive Greenspeed GT20.
I have no affiliation with Musashi, Blackburn or Greenspeed, I'm just creating gadgets to better integrate my accessories and recycling efforts with my rides and sometimes things simply have to be make & model specific.
