Pixel Crystal Macintosh case

What is this?

This is an unofficial cover case for the Pixel Crystal lens, a tiny pixel art filter of sorts that is recently going viral. The case features a hole for straps and charms, and is safely held together with just a small rubber band. The case design is inspired by the 1984 Macintosh and other vintage computers, and has been designed from scratch by me.

Why this?

The original Macintosh case for the Pixel Crystal is held together with screws and is not available for download. Another free design I found online still required screws, and was still a work in progress. I wanted something more practical and thoughtfully designed, so I made my own version for everyone to print and use.

Design and print info

The design is simple and allowances have been designed to be generous, but the many overhangs will require supports. After printing it in different orientations, I got the best visual and functional results by printing both parts vertically and using Tree Organic supports, as you can see in the last picture. Feel free to experiment!
