Lens foot / handle extension for Sigma Contemporary 150-600

The foot on the Sigma Contemporary 150-600 is too small to serve as a comfortable handle to carry this lens. This extension fixes that.

I carry my camera when hiking, I find it more comfortable than using a strap. When I upgraded to this lens I was disappointed with that one feature. Aftermarket replacements are expensive, and didn't look that comfortable either.
I wanted there to be no chance of this snapping off, so I added a 1/2" x 1/8" aluminum flat bar reinforcement. I drilled a clearance hole through the flat bar for the 1/4-20 screw.
This has been working great for me since 2023.
