Description
This comes with instructions. Sorry the pictures aren't great but I just started this the week Andor season 2 came out and wanted to share this before May The Forth. I beat it by about an hour!
Very often I find people selling my designs online, especially on Etsy. To combat this I also sell them cheap and include the download link to get them for free to hopefully discourage them from selling. If you download this and like it, and want to thank me, you can purchase it from Etsy at this link https://www.etsy.com/listing/4300406888/star-wars-small-tie-avenger-prototype
This will be about 110mm long if you use 3mm material.
Anyway, this is from the instructions.
This laser cut model is designed to use 3mm thick material. You can use whatever material your laser cutter can handle. It’s laid out to fit 300mmx100mm or 12”x4” sheets.
If you have material of a different thickness, figuring out how to resize is simple. In you vector design software, create a square that’s 3mmx3mm. Resize it to the thickness of your material and check the new dimension in percent. Select all objects and layers and resize them by this amount. All useful vector software will show this information. You can also ask ChatGPT. For example, if your material is 3.2mm thick, ask ChatGPT this question.
“My 3mm square is 100%. What percent is a 3.2mm square?”
Resize the objects by the answer it gives, which is 106.67. If you resize a 3mm square by 106.7% it becomes 3.2mm.
Pay attention to the orientation of things in the pictures because it matters. There’s a distinct top and bottom as well as front, back, left and right. Here’s some tips.
• The wing mounted laser goes on the left, or port side.
• The rack of 4 missiles goes on the inside of the lower left wing panel.
• The racks of 6 missiles go on the upper and lower right wing panels.
• When assembling the cockpit, the nose mounted laser cutouts go on the bottom.
• Before gluing, dry fit pieces and make sure you’re putting them where they belong.
