Terrarium vent

A small vent for an acrylic terrarium cover. It should work with material from 3/16" (5mm) to maybe 3/8" (10mm) thickness. I printed in resin. If you use resin, it will need some toughness on the spinner to prevent cracking of the prongs. Alternatively, sand the prong flange down. The threads are pretty loose so hopefully it will print fine. I printed directly on the plate and had to use a file to add a chamfer to the side of the nut attached to the plate. This allowed the nut to fully thread on the passthrough. This was probably due to a elephant footing. I drilled the hole in the acrylic plate using a 1 3/4" (44.5mm) forstner bit. It was a bit large in part due to wobble from hand drilling. A 1 5/8 (41.25mm) with a little wobble might be a better choice as threads are 42mm. Whatever you choose, the flange is 48mm in diameter.
