50mm (2 in) Bed Risers for Metal Bed Frame (Zinus + Others)

These risers were created for my bed frame which is a Zinus Abel Queen frame. These likely fit other sizes and other brands of similar style bed frames but I cannot confirm that. I have included the dimensions of the 3 models and the dimensions of the frame legs.

For the Zinus Abel in Queen size, you will need 4x corner pieces (A), 2x middle outer pieces (B) and 3x inner pieces (C).

Your bed frame may need a different combination. You should check the legs on your frame to see if they are compatible in size and shape and how many of each type you need. See images with dimension information.

Although this bed frame is marketed as being 14" high, the clearance is a bit lower than that at around 12 inches or 30.8cm.
These risers add 5cm (~2 inches) to increase the clearance to 14 inches or 35.8 cm. This happens to be the height of some thick suitcases on their side and some plastic storage containers, making it easier to store things under the bed.

There are three models that fit the three different leg systems on this model frame. Technically, you could just use the corner pieces for all legs but they may slip off easily.

Print these with at least 4 walls, 4 top/bottom layers, and 15% infill to make sure they are strong enough. I used regular PLA and this seems sufficient. If your bed holds a lot of weight (box spring and mattress, two people, or just one large person) consider PETG and increasing the infill. Due to how weight stress is put on these risers though, I wouldn't expect too many issues.

I highly recommend taking your mattress off the bed frame when fitting these as it's pretty hard to lift the frame and mattress together to get them into place.

*Be aware that pushing the frame around on the floor may make the corner pieces slide off. Perhaps putting a piece of acrylic tape on the inside side would help this problem.
