Makes loading filament unbelievably easy!
Try it - it's a small part that prints quickly and just clips into place - tool-less installation; no modifications to the printer.
- No more poking around trying to find the tiny extruder hole.
- Keeps fingers and filament away from the greasy z-screw.
- Stops the filament wearing out the extruder's input hole.
- Works with plastic and metal extruders.
- Two surfaces guide the filament positively into the extruder.
- The ball bearing gives the filament a smooth path into the extruder, without restricting access when clearing jams or feeding manually.
Instructions:
1. Print the part with the z-seam as shown in the slicer picture.
2. Mount a 608 bearing on the stub.
3. Slide the arm between the frame and the z-screw; this is easier with knob and filament removed.
4. Drop the part down and seat it on the left-hand side of the extruder bracket where the "1." and the arrow are on the back.
5. Clip the arm down over the extruder bracket where the "2." is; helps to pull it forward a bit.
Properly installed, the face with the bullseye lines up with the upright extrusion.
Reverse the procedure to remove.

PS: This part supersedes two previous versions, now removed from Thingiverse. Creality's extruder brackets had production variations which resulted in those things not clipping properly to all machines.
