Description
I have an Android Auto Head Unit in my Hummer, so I don't need to see the phone screen for maps, etc. I am sure I don't have to tell H3 owners that there is no where to sit a phone where it won't slide off! I tried the glovebox for a while, but that usually resulted in a trip back out to the truck to retrieve the phone after I forgot it was in the glovebox :-(
So I give you the H3 Phone Holder. It installs very easily at the bottom of the console, just lift it up and slide it under the edge of the console then rotate it down and it will nestle right along the slight ledge below the console (photos included to show this). You can slide it forward or back to your preferred spot, it doesn't interfere with my legs at all. It works equally well on the driver or passengers side.
The phone is easy to drop in or take out of the cradle, and stays put in the cradle for all but the most extreme of off road maneuvers.
I printed on my Flashforge AD5X with Sunlu PETG (Black)
.4 Nozzle
.24 Layer Height
Printed vertical
Supports required for the upper cradle
Cradle opening is 170mm and 15mm thick. This fits my Pixel Pro 8 with case on it, but should be easy enough to scale to fit others
I print in PETG, but you can probably get away with PLA, since it doesn't get direct sun, my prototypes were PLA+ and they held up fine.
