Description
These bases follow the guidelines for using 15mm miniatures on p. 30 of ' Warfare in the Age of Napoleon' by Tod Kershner. I did them in metric measurements and fudged slightly to be more versatile - fewer bases doing more jobs - but they're otherwise right from the table. Round bases have the diameter given; others are LxW and all are 2mm thick to give a slim profile with some rigidity. I found they worked pretty well with 25% infill, 0.2mm layers and a skirt. They should print flat on the bed and do not need supports.
Base 6 miniatures on the 20x30mm size for 2- and 3-rank infantry (3-rank use the short side as frontage) in 24-man units.
Base 9 miniatures on the 30x30mm size for "large" infantry battalions (Prussians and Austrians, typically) in 36-man units.
Base 4 miniatures on the 30x50mm size for cavalry (short side is the front) in 16-man regiments.
Base 1 gun and 4 crew on the 30x50mm size for artillery of all calibres in 2-gun batteries (or 3-gun "large" batteries).
Base 1 miniature on the 12mm round for skirmishers,
Base 1 miniature on the 20mm round for brigadiers.
Base 1 or more miniatures on the 30mm round for Commanders in Chief.
I've also included an infantry battalion in both Standard and Large sizes with the four regular bases and 4 skirmish bases, which should be enough for most armies (and will give you a spare skirmish base for Britain), and a cavalry regiment / artillery battery which will give you enough bases for either of these formations; actually you could get two standard batteries or a Large one and a half-battery out of it. These are the same as the individual bases and will just save a bit of copying and pasting to get a number of bases on the printer in one go.
Enjoy!
