Description
A book-shaped print-in-place box with individual slots for a polyhedral 7-piece dice set. No supports needed. Your choice of physical latches or magnets, and of standard or largish dice. The layout for the larger dice is a bit chaotic, but they fit. The uploaded cover and spine are blank so you can emboss anything that amuses you. If you change the filament partway through you can get different colors of pages and binding.
This was inspired by https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4709165 but I had some trouble with the original, so this is a mashup of a number of parts from other talented people. I replaced the hinges, fixed the geometry, added textured page edges, and added a latch so it stays closed if shelved, as well as remaking the die slots. Choose:
Latch: mechanical latches, 10x3mm magnets, or 12x3mm magnets
Size: standard 22mm (Chessex) dice, or slightly larger (~25mm) resin dice
There are much more sophisticated dice books (mrhers2, AndrewBell3D, PimprenelIe, others), but this is a fast print with no assembly if you just need a little box for one set.
Edit July 2025: All STL files updated to incorporate several minor improvements, most notably hole depth, but also fixing one of the 12x3mm magnet files to be less aggressive. (And added barrel and shard d4 slots, but only for one permutation, comment if you need others.)
Edit March 2026: Added a version for 120mm print beds. The file DiceBook-120mm-PrintBed.zip has all the necessary files. The two side pieces will need supports.
