Description
I designed this to work with the SkyRC Super Rider SR4/SR5 electronics, specifically the rear wheel setup. This kit does not include the gyro or rear wheel—it only includes a sprocket designed to fit the original drive belt from the RadioShack Ricky bike, adapted for use with the SR4/5 series rear wheel, custom 3d printed swing arm, and sprocket. Note: The sprocket already has support implemented in the model, just need to add support to the middle where the face touches the new rear wheel.
The SR dirt bikes use a two-wire system to control the brushless motor, with each wire connected via a ring tongue terminal that fits on either side of the shaft. These are pinched between the swing arms and the wheel. You may need to add a 1mm spacer for proper fit. Polarity matters: if the motor or controller heats up when powered on, immediately swap the wires. You only have a few seconds before risking damage to the SR4/5 eGyro controller.
If you're looking for replacement tires, the SkyRC SR4/SR5 tires—including the front—are compatible.
You will need 2 m3 screws in the back. I run 20mm long hardware, you can make it longer and use a nut but that is not necessary.
