Description
I saw this game on youtube (The Modern Rouge), and I was determined to play it somehow. Conveniently, I also have a 3d printer.
It's now become one of my favorite games. I truly hope more people try playing tak, so I designed this for anybody who wants to make their own simple set!
Print as many board pieces as needed. As you learn, you will want to expand it, and it's simple to do so.
The official rules will tell you the correct number of stones per player for the board size you choose. (https://ustak.org/play-beautiful-game-tak/)
No supports needed. There are some small bumps in the board pieces to prevent the board from curving, which could be a problem if you get elephant foot printing issues. (I do)
For a 4x4 *(or 5x5)
setup: (see video)
*you can save material by printing one less dimension than desired and playing pieces on the grid intersections rather than in the center of each board piece. (see video)
So, on 4x4, you can play 5x5: print 6 more stones for each player to reach 21, and 1 capstone for each as well.
It fits very nicely in a random zipper bag I had, and it's great to bring places! A large zipped pencil bag should work too.
the whole game is a bit on the small side (stones are 20mm), so feel free to scale up if you like

Happy playing :]
