Description
I made this model in Onshape because the original piece, which came with my mic, had a heat-threaded insert which got torn out of the plastic. I made the whole stand one piece with a few modifications from the original:
The base is slightly thicker to give the unit some more weight and sturdiness.
The wand is slightly thicker while maintaining the same height for higher strength.
The clamp part is not filleted to allow a better-looking print.
Positives:
Cheaper than a replacement.
Maintains functionality as included stand.
Uses the same mounting system as the included stand (you only need the screws included with the microphone).
Can customise colour.
Doesn't impact sound quality.
Negatives:
Cannot be extended without changing the model in CAD.
It doesn't have a rubber base (can be added if you have rubber on hand).
Requires support, which can leave marks on the printing surface (can be fixed by only using support from the build plate when configuring in the slicer).
