Miter Slot Runner 3/4" (19mm) Linkable

I recently got a new table saw, DeWalt DW7491. The miter slot size and location was different than my previous saw, so I'm working on remaking some of my jigs. I was going to use the old method of trial an error to cut down wood runners, but decided to print them instead. There are a lot of models for runners out there, but most are a fixed length. And with the length I wanted, the parametric versions would be an issue because of the limitations of print bed size. I decided to design a model that you could fit multiple sizes together with a dovetail type key.

These will fit a 3/4" (19mm) miter slot. I've included ends and middle sections in 3" (76.2mm), 6" (152.4mm), 9" (228.6mm), and 12" (304.8) lengths. You can mix and match to get the length you need for whatever sled or jig you're building.

I'm including the Fusion archive file. It's pretty well parameterized if you want to make different widths or lengths. The length parameter is for all three pieces combined, so if you want a 10" piece, set the length to 30". It seems to work fine when making it shorter, but gets wonky sometimes when making it longer. I'm no Fusion expert. I did my best.

I would recommend printing some shorter test pieces first. I had to do just a little sanding on the runners due to the seam lines or other imperfections. Printing outside walls first will help. A little paste wax also did wonders for the sled movement.

I printed mine at a .28 layer height, 3 walls, 10% lines infill, and no supports.
