4/29/26 Revised screen (thinner).
4/29/26 Added second roller option (metal shaft that has less friction)
Added Meter Cover for plastic body version.
8/3/2025 Added debris screen.
8/1/25 Revised SPINNER to prevent binding.
Looks complicated but once you print all the parts and do one, only takes about 10 minutes to rebuilt each meter.
Replacement parts for Hersey 430 water meter.
Spinner / Rotor
Magnet holder / wheel
Debris screen (print in same orientation as the view to minimize supports. Install with interior bevel to the rear cover.)
Disk guide / Roller
Square o-rig
Large o-ring
Probably fits 420 and others.
Meter is discontinued and rebuild kit is no longer available.
The point of failure was
the 'spinner' that the nutating disc turns.
the plastic that holds the magnet was also near failure. Is part of the spinner assembly and easier to replace then fiddle with.
the thrust roller, a thin rod of plastic, was gone from most all the meters. Just wore away. The original diameter of the roller is the same as an M3 cap head Allen screw. Just cleaned out the hole with an M3 tap and put in an M3x8 STAINLESS cap screw. ----- I switched to the second version of the thrust roller but I happened to have some stainless steel rod of the correct diameter.
Magnet wheel now discards the original Ferrite magnet in favor of 8 individual small 8x2mm magnets (Amazon).
The magnet wheel has 4 holes that each holds 2 magnets stacked.
Reverse the polarity (North/South) every other hole.... See Photo.
Pause the print at the top of the magnets, insert the magnets and continue the print.
