Description
This is my remix of the 'Analog handbrake for simulations' by HaraDaya. I wanted to make a custom handbrake for my Sim Rig, and after finding HaraDaya's design I realised it was perfect to my base my design on.
The base, sides, arm/lever and the handle have been re-designed to use off the shelf hardware and fixings, such as screws, springs, plastic inserts and threaded rod. There are also a lot of custom parts that I created to complete the revised design. I replaced the potentiometer with a hall sensor mounted to a custom-PCB. This connects to a proprietary RJ12 input on a button box that I designed. The magnet mount retrofits to the arm/lever, allowing for other designs to be easily incorporated without having to re-print the whole arm/lever. Some hole tapping and the pressing of heated brass inserts is also required.
The following components are required for assembly:
M3 - 08mm - PAN Screws
M3 - 12mm - PAN Screws
M3 - 10mm - CSK Screws
M3 - 20mm - CSK Screws
M3 - 30mm - CSK Screws
M3 - 60mm - CSK Screws
M4 - 12mm - CSK Screws
M4 - 25mm - CSK Screws
M8 - 35mm - CSK Screw
M8 - 150mm - Threaded Rod
M8 - Nut
Extension Spring - 32mm(L), 8mm (OD)
Compression Spring - 35mm(L), 16mm (OD)
Magnet
M3 - Brass Inserts
M4 - Brass Inserts
