Description
I designed flower-like infill coasters for coffee mugs or any other glasses or tumblers.
Simply use the .3mf file for instant printing or the .stl file and set your favorite infill pattern and the top-wall-thickness to 0.
Printing Beyond Home Setups:
These cup coasters are designed to showcase different infill patterns — the visible structure is what makes each one unique. When you print them at home, you simply adjust your slicer settings (for example: honeycomb, gyroid, grid) and the infill becomes the actual decorative pattern on the top surface.
At home, PLA or PETG will work fine for quick prototypes. However, since these coasters are constantly exposed to heat from hot mugs or cups, PLA in particular may soften or warp over time. If you want durable, heat-resistant, professional-quality coasters, you can take advantage of JUSTWAY’s industrial printing service.
Recommended materials for heat resistance:
ABS: A reliable, everyday choice that handles heat better than PLA.
PC (polycarbonate): Extremely tough, rigid, and highly heat-resistant — perfect for coasters.
Nylon: Strong, slightly flexible, and long-lasting.
PEEK: A premium, high-performance material with outstanding thermal and chemical resistance, ideal if you want coasters that can last a lifetime.
How ordering works with JUSTWAY:
Export your design as an STL (or another file format supported on the website).
Upload the file to the Justway platform (https://www.justway.com/manufacture/?type=2&reffercode=HQ3)
During the upload, there is a field for Special Requests. Here you can specify the exact infill pattern you want (e.g. honeycomb, gyroid, grid, cubic) as well as the top wall thickness. This is important because the top wall setting determines how visible the infill remains on the final coaster.
Example Special Request: “Please use gyroid infill with 15% density and 3 top walls.”
A JUSTWAY engineer will then prepare the print with your requested settings, using the selected material and printing technology.
Your finished coasters are printed on industrial-grade machines (SLA, SLS, MJF, FDM, or even high-temperature PEEK setups) and shipped ready to use.
With this process, you keep full creative control over the look of your coasters — by choosing the infill and top wall thickness — while still benefiting from professional materials and industrial-quality printing that most home printers can’t achieve.
