Description
I wanted to make a nice, tactile, heavy-feeling ingot/token for the star wars poker-like 'sabacc' game.
(See my sabacc print here)
You can see these tokens used here in this video.
You, of course, can use these for whatever you like: normal poker chips, for a TTRPG, fidgets, whatever!
Includes:
I tried a few different approaches to weighting - but the cheapest, heaviest, most consistent weight came from - pennies!
Simply pause the print, slot in 4 standard US pennies, and resume.
For a little extra weight, and a unique finish, you can also use iron-fill PLA and then rust techniques to get a quite authentic metal feel.
However, iron-fill is weaker than standard PLA - so for clipping-together to form larger ingots, I recommend a sturdier standard PLA.
You can also print them in multiple colors to denote different denominations - but I like the gravitas of making larger ingots. Want to bet 8x as much as the other players? Then you are slamming down an ingot 8x as big and heavy! Has a nice feel to it.
Enjoy!
