Description
This is "my" version of Finger Chopsticks.
Why did I decide to make "my" version?
Because... all existing versions, both those for purchase and those for printing, are not powerful and accurate enough, at least for my spoiled ass....
I use them at the computer for quick snacks. And I have one at my tool desk and I use it to pick up small items from boxes like nuts, bolts, etc...
This is the first version. At least if I take into account the ones I've published. I plan to publish another versions, different ones.....you might be interested if you looked at this one;)
Here are two types available. One named Classic, where the material itself provides flexibility and returns forks to its outter position.
And the second Screw type. An M3 screw lenght of 6-8mm must be used. An inserted spring provides the return to its original position. Spring can be inserted in first type also.. I prefer the second Screw version. But to use it you need an M3 screw and a suitable spring. The first one is just printed and after a "gentle" break it can be used.
Since I used a support during printing, I had to clean the support first before I could break the elements into motion. After cleaning, I usually use wax for better gliding properties. In the screw version, the screw is screwed into the lower element. Before screwing, if necessary, the hole in the upper element is enlarged enough so that the screw passes through freely.
I only publish objects with inscriptions. But, I am adding engraved objects, for all those who want to print without text. I think it shouldn't be too difficult to combine the desired objects before printing....
Both published types are available in different lengths (87mm, 95mm, 103mm, 111mm, 118mm, 158mm, 198mm - measured from the axle to the end of the fork).
If you make the tool for yourself, I am not responsible for any unwanted consequences of using the tool which can occur through the use of;)
May it serve you at least as well as it serves me.
