Description
British Austin 10 (civil version), built 1939-1947
The 10-series was the name for upper mid-size cars produced by Austin in four different reincarnations from 1911 till 1947.
Within the legendary collections of wargamer models created by M_Bergman (https://www.thingiverse.com/m_bergman/designs) I found the military versions of the last Austin 10-model, as it was introduced in 1939 and built during the war in large numbers in modified versions for military purpose. Especially the “Tilly” a military version of the pickup has shaped historical image of the Austin 10. But there were civil versions of Austin 10s produced and especially after the war nearly all of them were exported to different countries of the British Commonwealth as well as to the US and to Scandinavia.
So, I decided to remix the work of M_Bergman and created railway model style-versions (with windows and interior) of the Saloon type (with fixed head and with sliding head) as well as the civil pickup version and the van version.
I had fun creating these versions and hope someone else can use them in his layout or diorama. As always, all models sized for n-scale (1:160). Conversion values:
Japanese N-scale, 1:150 -> 106%
British N-scale, 1:148 -> 108%
TT-gauge, 1:120 -> 133%
HO/H0-gauge, 1:87 -> 184%
OO/00-gauge, 1:76 -> 211%
S-gauge, 1:64 -> 250%
O-gauge, 1:48 -> 333%
For windows I used Microscale Micro Kristal Klear.
