Description
Climbing carabiners are strong on their long axes, but weak on their cross axes. Unfortunately, some types of climbing equipment, such as pulleys, are susceptible to shifting around on carabiners, raising the risk of cross-loading and device failure. This tube is a sleeve you can use to prevent that. Print the sleeve in a flexible filament, then slide it onto a carabiner until it is on the upper part of the spine, slightly below its point of curvature (see photo). Scale the sleeve such that it is so tight you can barely slide it into place, so it doesn't move once there.
