This is a fully parametric stand designed primarily for tabletop use or wall mounting of synthesisers, drum machines, MIDI controllers, or other small electronic devices. It is generated using OpenSCAD, allowing the user to precisely customise the dimensions to fit their specific gear or mounting requirements.
The design consists of two side panels, which can be connected using optional crossbars (for tabletop use) or mounted individually to a wall.
Versatility & Use Cases:
- Desktop Stand: Optimise for a comfortable viewing and working angle.
- Wall Mount: Utilise the built-in mounting holes for vertical storage or display.
- Universal: Be creative ;)
Parameters:
- angle:
- The tilt angle of the ramp/support surface.
- Default Value: 25 degrees
- support_length:
- The main length of the area where the device rests.
- Default Value: 200 mm
- thickness:
- The material thickness for the side panels (crucial for CNC/3D printing).
- Default Value: 8 mm
- tab_length / tab_length_top:
- Length of the bottom and top holding tabs to prevent the device from sliding.
- Default Values: 15 mm / 10 mm
- Tab length will increase the total length
- distance
- The total width/separation between the two side panels (for the full frame build).
- Default Value: 200 mm
- mounting_hole_spacing:
- Distance between the centres of the two screw holes in each pair.
- Default Value: 20 mm
- mounting_hole_..._distance:
- Adjustable position of the front/back/lower/upper mounting hole pairs.
- Varies (e.g., 30 mm, 40 mm)
- Middle Supports
- Insets from side wall can by adjusted in mm
- Varies (e.g., 0 mm, 1mm ... 3mm)
Known Issues (Connectors):
- The OpenSCAD file includes connecting elements (crossbars) for visual representation (enabled = true section) and to serve as a placeholder for a complete frame.
- These connector positions are currently not perfectly aligned:
- They are placed slightly off-centre between the screw holes.
- They are currently fixed to the rear and lower edges of the stand.
- These elements can be disabled entirely using the Customizer if you plan to use your own connecting solution or mount the side panels directly to a wall.
