Description

If you own one of these bikes with a stock or aftermarket windscreen mounted to the stock windscreen mount you may notice some helmet buffeting. For me the buffeting is severe enough my vision blurs. All that I needed was to decrease the angle of the windscreen, and these small spacers eliminated all buffeting, at least for me. Buffeting depends on rider height, seat position, windscreen, etc so these may not work for you.

I found these to be a much less expensive option to a Madstad or similar bracket that I'd end up setting and never moving as I did with my last windscreen of 10 years.

My DL is a 2005 model, the windscreen is a vstream.

This is a very simple object. The Sketchup file is included.

50mm bolts, metal washers, and thick rubber washers from Lowes are used to secure the lower section.

The bracket cannot be used in the lowest position as the fairing blocks the lower mount from extending forward, but you can still use the top 3 bracket positions.

The new position didn't allow me to use my steering lock so I got a pair of mirror extenders from adventuretech.biz, these work great and give me better visibility to the rear.
