SwitchBot Mount for CHOFU EcoCute Remote Controller (CMR-2534P/CMR-2544P)

This is a mounting solution that allows SwitchBot to reliably press the buttons on CHOFU EcoCute (heat pump water heater) remote controllers (CMR-2534P/CMR-2544P).

The Problem

When attaching a SwitchBot directly to this remote controller, the panel cover flexes when the bot tries to press a button, absorbing the force and preventing the button from being activated.

This mount holds the panel firmly in place, allowing the SwitchBot to press the button reliably.

Installation

1. Remove the EcoCute remote from the wall.
2. Install the spacer plates between the metal mounting plate and the wall. These create a gap for the mount to slide into. Precise leveling is not required.
3. Reattach the remote controller to the wall.
4. Slide the SwitchBot mount in from the side of the remote.
5. Attach your SwitchBot to the mount.
6. Test several times and adjust the position to ensure reliable button activation.
