5 Gal Husky Bin Filament Storage - F360

Dry storage with desiccant containers for up to 5 standard 1kg spools of filament. Fusion 360 and STEP files included. This a remix of my original 12 gallon storage solution optimized for the 5 gallon container.

These inserts fit in the bottom of a 5 gallon Husky bin from HomeDepot ($19.98 at time of purchase).

Silica Gel Desiccant Beads can be placed in the provided containers and replaced or recycled as needed.

These 5 gallon Husky bins are relatively air-tight with a lid gasket and latches on all four sides. I live in a very dry area of the country and cannot say how well these would work in wetter climates, but I'm in and out of these boxes almost daily and have had no moisture issues.

The two end pieces are designed to fit together to provide a single spool cradle.

The Fusion 360 file has User Parameters that will allow easy modification of the inserts for other size boxes. There is also a parameter for "DovetailOffset" which is originally set to -0.15mm. Modify that parameter if you find the parts are hard to assemble.
