Description
I created these 35-degree angled stands for each of the retro computers and game systems in my collection. For me, this is the ideal angle to display each device on a shelf.
I prefer to create stands that have two legs with a fixed spacing in between, held together with dovetailed cross braces. This Sega Genesis Model 1 stand fits perfectly within the geometry on the bottom of the machine. My original design has 30mm wide legs. You will need to print one left stand, one right stand, and two cross braces. All individual STL files are included. I have included the STL file for the stand leg without cutouts, should you wish to use it.
NEW: I have created a Version 2 stand set with legs that are only 20mm wide, to match the rest of my retro game console stand collection. It has longer cross braces, so the overall size remains exactly the same. It is the grey coloured version in the pictures.
I also have the stand for the Sega Genesis Model 2 here: thingiverse.com/thing:7358730.
If you print this stand please post a make, I'd love to see it.
