Description
Inspired by the well-known K2 Plus Drawer concept on Creality Cloud, I developed this fully original drawer system specifically for the Creality K2 (non-Plus).
While the idea of a printer-mounted storage drawer served as creative inspiration, this model is designed entirely from scratch and is not a remix or modification of the K2 Plus version. All parts were manually modeled, including redesigned legs interface geometry, custom dimensions, a new bottom grid layout, and completely reworked modular containers.
Full respect to @d_v_ermakov for the original K2 Plus Drawer with Build Plates Stand concept that inspired this project (https://www.crealitycloud.com/model-detail/k2-plus-drawer-with-build-plates-stand). This drawer is engineered to match the exact proportions and foot structure of the standard Creality K2, ensuring proper fit and stability.
The drawer base features an 11 × 8 grid layout, allowing you to configure storage exactly the way you need it.
Available container sizes: 1×4, 1×5, 2×2, 2×3, 2×4, 2×6, 2×7, 2×8, 4×4, 4×5
You can print any combination and quantity of these bins to build a fully modular organization system for tools, nozzles, spare parts, maintenance accessories, and small hardware.
To assemble the drawer, you will need:
Approximately 70% of the parts can be printed without supports. Since this drawer is specifically designed for the Creality K2, the main grid base (drawer bottom) is oriented vertically on the build plate. This approach allows the part to fit within the printer’s 260×260×260 mm build volume.
Drawer bottom dimensions: 228×310×25.5mm
By positioning the part diagonally and vertically, it becomes printable on the K2 itself. However, due to this orientation, the grid base requires a significant amount of supports. The model was intentionally engineered so that you can print the entire drawer using the same Creality K2 it is designed for.
If you own a printer with a larger build volume, you may print the drawer bottom flat on the build plate, which allows printing it completely without supports.
This model is printed in PLA. Rails are standard ball-bearing type for smooth operation. The design prioritizes rigidity, alignment accuracy, and clean installation under the printer.
