Replacement Guide Bush for Hercules Microphone Stands

The guide bush for Hercules EZ Grip microphone stands (and possibly other models) can split and get dislocated causing the inner telescoping shaft to jam in the outer shaft.

This two-part alternative design is more robust. WD40 can help with dis-assembly of the jammed shafts. Unscrew the plug from the bottom (grip it in a vice) and remove the top part by unscrewing the grub screw and pulling it off. You may have to do a lot of pulling and twisting to get the jammed inner shaft out.

The two parts of the replacement bush should clip into the rectangular cutouts on the inner shaft, but you may need to hold them in place as you align the outer lugs with the grooves inside the outer shaft. replace the plug and top piece.
