My latest 3D printed project is built around an electronics circuit RobotHut showed in one of his videos. It goes forward until it detects an object in front of it and then turns by switching the motor into reverse. One wheel has a clutch mechanism that is only driven in the forward direction. It stops when the motor turns in reverse. The look of the toy is inspired by the robot in the 'Hunters Moon' episode of 'Lost in Space' season 3. It is not an accurate model of that robot. It just uses a lot of the design ideas. I started from scratch on the mechanical design but for details on the electronics go to the Robothut link.
It uses a blue metal geared TT motor. Power is from 2 AA batteries.
