Description

The rear hub of a 1969 VW Beetle (And possibly some other years) protrudes and the center caps that come with aftermarket wheels will not fit.
This is designed for centercaps that fit a 45 mm centercap badge (The other diameters are irrelevent)
This file and the instructions help you modify the center caps.

  1. Drill a pilot hole in the center of the center cap
  2. Use a Hole saw (1 3/4 inch size (Eye it up, it should be perfect for the center cap badge indentation))
  3. Remove all the burrs (I used a small file)
  4. Put the centercap on the wheel first
  5. Now insert the attached file "Center Cap Extension VW (Final).stl"
    • This should be a very tight fit and requiore no epoxy (You can put epoxy on if you like)
  6. Finished product with badge attached

Print with PETG or ABS in original orientation with regular support
