The Polar Bear Legacy (1999–2012): From its inception, Nunavut shared the iconic blue-and-white, bear-shaped plate with the Northwest Territories. However, due to a copyright dispute in 2012, Nunavut was forced to pivot to a standard rectangular design. Captivated by the boldness of that original shape, I felt an irrepressible urge to pay tribute to this 'traveling bear.'
