Description

This is my "Soviet Sam Site" inspired model creation from the old pc game "Command and Conquer - Red Alert". A new series I am jumping into, with each unique building being made and colored accurately according to in-game sprites. With some extra bells and whistles, and some details added from the official cgi renders. But I primarily went off of the remastered in-game sprites.

The goal/challenge for this series is simple: Mini recreations of our favorite buildings, using team appropriate colors, being split in pieces for us non-multicolor printers, and being entirely support-free.

Color swaps are included in a text document with proper swap points.

[Soviet Sam Site]
Easy to put together, the red missiles go into the back of the gray inner body, which then is inserted into the front of the main sam body. Then pop the stand into the hole in the bottom (given tolerances, should allow movement/aiming) and then place it in the middle of the main pad.

All the main buildings can be scaled down by about 25% or so (see third picture) with zero issues, if these are too big for your tastes. Most are scaled to each other, with the exception of base defenses as they would be far too tiny to print on an FDM printer.

  • Designed for standard 0.4mm Nozzles and 0.2mm layer height.
  • This model uses no supports for printing.
  • This model has been split for easy single-extruder filament coloring.
  • This model requires glue for assembly.
  • Created from scratch and not using any ripped in-game models and zero use of AI.
