Description
This angled cartridge holder for the Sega Genesis (Mega Drive) matches the 35 degree incline of all the display stands I created for my retro device collection. It looks great on the shelf next to the Sega Genesis. This stand fits both the tall and narrow cartridges, and the short and wide ones.
I have created two stand versions, V1 and V2, as follows:
V1a - 6 carts, horizontal cartridge slots (top slot fits only the short and wide cart) - My pictured version
V1b - 12 carts (double size of the one above)
V2a - 7 carts, vertical cartridge slots (bottom two slots fit only the short and wide cart)
V2b - 14 carts (double size of the one above)
I've also realized that by turning the stands vertical, you end up with a stand angled at 55 degrees (but the logo is upside down). So, I am also providing the 55 degree designs with the logo in the correct position, should you wish to place the stands at 55 degrees. These will be the V3 and V4 versions.
V3a - (rotated V1a) 6 carts, vertical cartridge slots, correct logo orientation
V3b - (rotated V1b) 12 carts, vertical cartridge slots, correct logo orientation
V4a - (rotated V2a) 7 carts, horizontal cartridge slots, correct logo orientation
V4b - (rotated V4a) 14 carts, horizontal cartridge slots, correct logo orientation
Always position the models on the print plate with the back down (the cartridge openings pointing up), as shown in the pictures. Supports are not needed, but brims are needed for versions V1 and V3. You can paint the brims on around the thin parts, or enable a 5mm brim all the way around.
If you print one, please post a make, I'd love to see it. Enjoy!
