Description
In my workspace, I’m steadily building a system where every tool has a strictly defined place. This is no longer just about convenience — it’s about removing unnecessary motion and speeding up the actual workflow. As part of the growing accessory line for the SKÅDIS system, a dedicated holder for T-squares has been developed.
The T-square is a simple tool, but an essential one. It’s constantly used in design, drafting, modeling, and layout work. And the moment it starts living “somewhere on the desk,” it immediately becomes a source of clutter — it gets in the way, gets lost, falls over, and takes up unnecessary space.
The Skadis T-Rule Holder is designed with a single goal — a fixed, reliable position for the tool with no compromise on access speed.
A T-square has a very specific geometry, and standard SKÅDIS hooks don’t handle it well. The tool either hangs loosely, sits at an angle, or consumes too much space.
That’s why the holder is shaped around the tool itself — it keeps the T-square stable, fully supported, and still allows quick one-hand removal.
As with other parts of the system, the design uses a screw-based fastening method:
This provides a rigid connection and prevents loosening over time, which is important for a tool that is constantly being taken on and off the mount.
This holder is part of a broader workspace organization system. It is not an isolated item but one component in a growing set of specialized mounts designed for specific tools.
The SKÅDIS ecosystem here is evolving toward purpose-built accessories rather than generic hooks. Each tool gets a precise location, reducing visual clutter and speeding up workflow. There is no need to think about where to put the tool — it always returns to the same position.
The core idea remains the same: order is not about cleanliness — it’s about speed.
When the T-square has a fixed place, searching disappears, the risk of damage is reduced, and the usable workspace stays clear.
The ready-to-print model is available in a pre-print 3mf-format . You can use the STL file directly or adjust parameters depending on your printer setup and preferences.
it means great recognition for me and helps a lot to keep going!
