Description
I modeled a working, flying, 3D-printed ornithopter based on Rimstar's design:
Website: https://rimstar.org/science_electronics_projects/ornithopter_rubber_band_type.htm
An ornithopter is a flying machine utilizing a flapping motion to generate lift and improve flight.
If you are interested in building one yourself, please follow Rimstar's video: https://youtu.be/NvFmh8MMyfI?si=A4tXAB2PF05_tl53
Use my 3D printed pieces in place of each of the balsa wood parts.
Tweaking the tail will improve flight!
Printing:
Print with 2 walls, no infill.
The thin pieces can be printed without brims; however, depending on your printer, you may see better results with brims.
