Large Easter Egg - Seamleassly screws the two sides together

Egg / Easter Egg designed in two parts that have a threaded joint to screw together almost seamlessly. At standard scale this prints to 7.5cm tall. Once printed just remove the raft and designed in support ring around the male thread and screw it together.

Note: A "no support" version of the top part has been added due to some slicing apps having problems dealing with the fine designed in support structure.

To add coloured bands pause the print several times and change to your choice of filament colours... the end result will be a brightly coloured Easter Egg. The coloured Easter Egg pictured uses Translucent Orange / Natural PLA / Translucent Blue.

The support ring has been designed with a small amount of clearance so it should snap away reasonably easily. This has been tested to print well on a Replicator 2 and 5th Generation Replicator.

On a well set up machine this should screw together straight away with minimal binding on the thread. Screw it together and apart a couple of times should loosen any tight spots.

Instructions: Use Raft / 0.20mm (Std. Resolution) / 3 - 4 Shells / 50% Infill (so the walls are strong) but no support as it has been designed in. Refer to the images to see the support ring that needs to be broken away o expose the underlying male thread.

Note: File options are for both parts in one file or as the top lower and upper part separately (,,,which will provide greater freedom for colouring)
