Description
For QO-100 geo satellite operators. Used on the DigiDish 45 (Technisat) as an alternative to the stock LNB support. Allows enough mechanical clearance for Nolle Engineering's Ice-Cone helix antenna to be mounted on the dish arm.
Two upper and lower STL files. Each clamps around the 40mm LNB. To connect the two parts use two M4 brass inserts and respective M4 Allen key hex screws. No need to overtighten these. The L shaped dish arm needs to be bent a little to keep everything at the focus point (to just shy of 90deg). Important: confirm there is enough space on the particular LNB used, for connecting your F-type connectors and cables. See pictures.
The support should slide snuggly onto end of the aluminium dish arm. Printer dimension tolerances should be correct. As always check and adjust size by +/- 1 or 2% for your particular printer ...if necessary.
I'm printing with white PETG as it has acceptable weather resistance properties. ABS filament has even better qualities but is more challenging to print. I have used white Sunlu PETG on parts which have remained outdoors in all weathers for over 4 years without deterioration. This setup has been used by myself since 2023 in over three hundred QO-100 grid activations.
