Description
260611 Gardena Streuwagen 300-430 (2017)
The Gardena 300-430 has a serious flaw ;-( and is basically not repairable.
After a couple of years (2-3) the wheels are starting to turn with a heavy resistance until it does not rotate anymore on friction.
A couple years ago I submerged it in hot water to see if this had an impact. Resistance got a little lower, but it did not function properly.
Recently I had some time on my hands and started dismanteling it.
See picture of Gardena for explanation:
Reason for friction is fertilizer built up in bearing 11/12 !.
When taken apart you will see that 8/13 has a metal "bolt" inside.
In order to disassemble 8/10 the best way I found is put the bearing part in a cup of hot water (90C/200F).
Then first punch the metal bolt out and then gently push out part 8. 10 has a small ridge, and 8 has a cavity !.
Repair materials:
-- Wheel Left and Right (print from files)
-- Philips screws (2x) connical head approx 6x80 mm
-- tube 15x15x1 mm length is silicone (3) + 4mm
-- grease
Assy:
-- clean the bearings 11 and 12 (scrape with hobby knife) and grease
-- debur the edges of the new tube 4
-- put silicone 3 in hot water
-- pull 3 over 4, so it is in the middle
-- grease 10/8 and 13/14 and assemble
-- mount screw 6x80 left and right
Now the "Streuwagen" can be disassembled for maintenance !! and will last a lifetime ;-)
Print settings 0,2 mm layer, infill 30%, material PETG. Orientation is shaft up, as on pictures.
